New Educational Grants Available for Residents and Young Surgeons in Yemen - 204b2

Share:
Our recent community outreach program successfully delivered essential orthopedic care to underserved rural areas in the Hodeidah governorate. Over the course of two weeks, a dedicated team of Yemeni orthopedic surgeons, residents, and nurses conducted free clinics, performed minor surgical procedures, and provided vital patient education. The initiative focused on common musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, chronic back pain, and neglected fractures, which often go untreated in remote Yemeni communities due to limited access. Patients received consultations, basic diagnostics, and referrals for advanced care when necessary. Educational sessions covered topics like injury prevention, proper posture, and basic first aid for musculoskeletal injuries in local dialects. This program exemplifies the association's commitment to equitable healthcare access and serves as a testament to the dedication of our members to public service in Yemen. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers and partners who made this mission possible.
